Maputo International College or MIC achieved remarkable global success by winning 16 out of 28 awards at the Model United Nations Conference held at Waterford Kamhlaba School in Eswatini last July 5 and 6, 2024. The conference featured 7 committees addressing a range of critical issues. Attended by 200 delegates from 14 schools, including 2 from Maputo, Mozambique, and others from within Eswatini, the Model United Nations Waterford was a significant gathering. Maputo International College, founded by Mr. Ali Yahfoufi, opened its doors in January 2018, with its official foundation day celebrated on February 24, 2018. Known by its acronym MIC, the institution is recognized by the Cambridge International School for its commitment to international education and examination standards. Following the unfortunate passing of Mr. Ali Yahfoufi in December 2023, the role of Administrator was assumed by his brother, Mr. Hussein Yahfoufi. Mr. Mohammad Jamil Kassem serves as the school director, overseeing operations.
